About Peace 365
A Bit Of History
On the 19th of September 2005 we watched a program on Channel 4 titled ‘Peace One Day’. Afterwards while discussing the program with friends we had a good healthy laughter,
‘Good for them, one day of peace but what is wrong with the remaining 365 days’, one asked?
Since then we have committed ourselves to spread the invitation of the General Assembly Resolution 55/282 of the International Day of Peace all over the world, where in paragraph 3 of the Resolution we read:
“Invites all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system, regional and non-governmental organisations and individuals”, like ourselves, “to commemorate, in an appropriate manner, the International Day of Peace, including through education and public awareness, and to cooperate with the United Nations in the establishment of the global ceasefire.”
and intend to propose, with the united single voice and active supporters involved in the process, to extend the aforementioned Resolution for the additional 365 days.
